The Barnard Sconce features solid brass parts and a powder coated aluminum shade that is hand-spun in California. The shade has a swivel joint allowing 360 degree articulation. This fixture is available in three brass finishes and assembled in our Savannah, GA studio.

All of our brass finish options are hand applied and sealed with a wax coating. Unlike lacquer, a wax coating allows the brass to naturally patina over time. To ensure an even finish as the fixture ages, we recommend wearing gloves during installation and limiting contact with the fixture once installed. 

Natural Brass: If desired, the satin brass finish can be restored to a brilliant shine using techniques outlined in our Care and Maintenance PDF, available here.

Blackened and Aged Brass: Our darkened brass finishes will continue to darken over time, and any chemical cleaners will alter the finish. Dusting with a soft, dry cloth regularly will help maintain the finish of your fixture. 

Powdercoated parts: Dust with a soft dry cloth, do not use any chemical cleaners.
